Jet Li's manager reacts to photo, insists actor is 'completely fine'.
Jet Li sparked health concerns after a photo of him looking unusual surfaced online.

Reacting to the health concerns from social media users, his manager has responded to the worries, explaining Li, 55, is actually in 'great shape' and has had hyperthyroidism for nearly ten years.

'He has hyperthyroidism that he's been dealing with for almost 10 years,' his manager, Steven Chasman, told the Washington Post. 'It's nothing life-threatening and he's dealing with it.'

The Post reported Chasman insisted the image was simply a bad photo of a man in his mid-fifties.

Chasman continued to assuage worries over Li while speaking with USA Today, insisting the actor is 'completely fine.'

'We appreciate everyone’s concern. But Jet is completely fine. There's nothing wrong with him. There's no life-threatening illness. He's in great shape.'

The original photo was of Li looking far more advanced than his 55 years in a newly-surfaced fan photo recently taken at a Tibetan temple.

The actor revealed that he has hyperthyroidism - which is also known as an overactive thyroid - back in 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He also previously revealed he has a heart condition and has suffered past leg/spine injuries from stunts.

The retired Wushu champion admitted in 2013 his doctor gave him a choice to 'either continue making [action] films or spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair' - according to THR.
