Children and teachers evacuated as an out-of-control bushfire bears down on the school

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued a notice for Perth inhabitants as a 'quick moving flame' has officially constrained the clearing of a school.

The notice was issued for southern parts of Forrestdale, between Anstey Road, Armadale Road, Tonkin Highway, Nicholson Road, Rowley Road and Keane Road, 9 News revealed.

Understudies and staff from the close-by Forrestdale Primary School have apparently being emptied as the school sits in the 'risk zone'.

'You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes,' the warning read.

'If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place, do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute is deadly.'

'If your plan is to stay and actively defend, do not rely on mains water pressure as it may be affected. If you have access to a water tank and plan to defend your home, start patrolling with your hose and put out spot fires.'

Firefighters on the scene and actively battling the blaze a DFES told 9 News.
