Retired personnel who was cut in the throat amid a 'peculiarly vicious' theft on his house is being treated at the hospital where he is fighting for his life.

A pack of covered hooligans constrained their way into the unprotected 71-year-elderly person's property without trying to hide before they assaulted him with a blade on Sunday.
